Google Ads audit

A second pair of eyes on your account. We go through your campaigns, keywords, tracking and landing pages, and tell you in plain language where money is being wasted and what to fix first.

What we look at

Area

What we check

A problem we often find

Conversion tracking

Which actions count as conversions, and whether they fire correctly

Page views or button clicks counted as leads, so Google optimises for the wrong thing

Search terms

The actual searches your ads appeared for

Spend going on job seekers, competitors or unrelated services

Campaign structure

How campaigns and ad groups are split, and how budget is shared

One campaign covering every service, so the best ones never get enough budget

Bidding

Which bid strategy is used and whether it has enough data

Automated bidding left running on too few conversions to learn from

Ads and assets

Headlines, descriptions, sitelinks, call and location assets

Generic ads that could belong to any competitor

Locations and schedule

Where and when ads are shown

Ads showing to people interested in your area, not just in it

Landing pages

Where each ad sends people, speed and clarity on mobile

Paid clicks landing on the homepage

Account settings

Auto-applied recommendations, networks and audiences

Display network or auto-applied changes switched on without anyone noticing

What you get

  • A written summary of what we found, ordered by how much it’s likely costing you
  • The three to five changes we’d make first
  • A short call to walk through it and answer questions

How to give us access

  • Send us your Google Ads customer ID through the contact form
  • We send a request from our manager account
  • You approve it in Google Ads, with read-only access if you prefer
  • You can remove our access at any time

Common questions

No. Read-only access is enough. Nothing is changed unless you ask us to make the fixes afterwards.

Yes. Wanting an independent view is one of the most common reasons people ask for an audit. We keep the findings between us and you.

Yes. The process is similar, with more focus on audiences, creative and the Pixel and Conversions API setup. See our Meta Ads page.

That’s up to you. Some clients make the changes themselves, others ask us to. If you want ongoing help, see Google Ads management.
